We are a unique, home-based salon and wellness studio located in Shaftsbury, Vermont. We take an innovate approach to providing a relaxing and holistically rejuvenating experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and renewed. We provide our clients with a variety of options when it comes to managing their overall health, beauty, and wellness.
Owner and Founder, Laurie
Freeman-Jesseman
Laurie Freeman-Jesseman is the owner and founder of Jophiel’s Beauty and Wellness in Shaftsbury. As a Certified Health Coach, Laurie is devoted to her clientele. Laurie sums up her practice when she says: “Jophiel’s is committed to nurturing your spirit and helping you find your beauty and zen.”
She recognizes that one’s radiance of both health and beauty shines best when the two are in balance. Looking great means feeling great, and feeling great means looking great! Laurie has worked in the salon industry for as long as she can remember, but it’s her passion and persistence to understand health and wellness
from the lens of healing that keeps her focus. This healing path began in 1996, when she was introduced to Mindful Based Stress Reduction. This program had an impact on her life, and she began taking classes in the direction of complimentary therapies, while working as a Cosmetologist and raising her three sons.
As a stylist, Laurie has been able to connect with a broad group of people, and educating her clients who may not have previously known about multitudinous healing options available.
In addition to being a Health Coach, Laurie is trained in foot, face, and ear reflexology; massage therapy; zero balancing; angelic essence; and is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor.
Laurie listens to her clients and inspires them to be the best in all matters – mind, body, spirit, and soul.

Our History
Jophiel’s Beauty and Wellness was founded in 2012. The name Jophiel was inspired by the Archangel Jophiel. You can recognize Jophiel through any artistic creation with symbolizes beauty, sincerity, integrity, and all the qualities of Spirit.
We curated an environment that will encourage you to relax and feel peaceful. We have a menu of services to help quiet your mind, balance your body, and lift your spirit. We will help you improve how you feel, reach a desired weight loss goal, or create change in your lifestyle.
We are here to support and guide you. Jophiel’s Beauty and Wellness offers treatments for both overall health and physical appearances, while providing a healing and friendly environment.
